LaModel and Stability Mapping

This page provides download links to the LaModel Software package and the Stability Mapping plugins for AutoCAD.

Links to the LaModel package. Only version 3.x files are provided. Also, an Excel file is provided with base calculations and associated instructions.

Note: the Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable package should be installed BEFORE installing LamPre 3.0.2.

LaModel 3.0.5 Install File (64 bit application). This version was released on Dec 21, 2025 and and will run as a true 64 bit application which can handle large grids. This version has an issue with multiple seams but should be ok for single seam applications

Links to the Stability Mapping plugins for AutoCAD. Different compiles are available for different AutoCAD versions as listed below. The plugins are provided as zip files.

Below are links to the new Stability Mapping package (Stabmap), a stand-alone application that does not require AutoCAD. This package reads LaModel INP files and also generates LaModel (v3) INP files to use with LaModel. It will import DWG or DXF files and create LaModel grids. It will also convert Carlson grids to TOP grid files for use with LaModel and will convert F1 files back to Carlson Grids. Last update: July 26, 2026.

Please note the following: The first version of Stabmap was developed with Firebird 2.5 as the back end. Since Fall 2025, this has been slowly transitioned to Firebird 5.0.
